How much time do we have?
How to use it?
What matters most?

Such a hard balance
How much to spend?
Work? Learning?
Family? Friends? Love?

Time spent in pain
Seems so endless
So much loss
Horrible death.

Time fades away
It takes so much
Time flew by
Love was lost.

Can time be quantified?
Is it really relative?
Can it really be measured?
How much time do I have?

Becoming LessDo we live because of love, or do we live to be loved,
Because life is a broken heart.
At some point in life we shatter
And have to piece ourselves back together.

Or maybe our whole life we're broken.
Searching for our lost pieces.
Never to be complete.
Always to be missing.

Or to be grounded down
Into a million tiny pieces.
An impossible endeavor
Never to be put back together.

Which one am I?
Incomplete?
Beyond help?

I think not.
I'll find that piece.
I'll create something from those glass shards.

I won't bow down.
I won't be reduced.

I won't become
less...

Again I walk down lonely road
It feels like things have changed
But unfortunately it's still the same

Without any regret

What was once a lonely road
Is now a place for freedom
Free from you and free from everything

Lost MemoriesLost memories float like wisps of air all around me
I grasp at them vainly; try to catch them in my hands
But it is all for nought. They will stay here no more.
Desperate tears roll down my cheeks as they leave
I am falling now; falling away from all that I knew
My world, it fades, becoming bleached of its colour
I am caught and trapped now in a white walled room.
Someone, please, come free me from this desolate place
Give me back the time I was so thoughtless to waste
Let me see with new eyes the chaotic canvas of life
Let me hear the haunting songs of this sad earth again
Let me have once more all the things I gave away.

I can give you all the things of which you've always dreamed,
Smiles, kisses, oh so bliss, and feelings never seen,
We could travel 'cross the world and gaze upon the moon,
Sleep beneath the starry sky and never wake too soon.

I would grant you fairy tales if you simply wished them true,
Wake you with a kiss and fit you with a shoe,
Ride a flying carpet and climb a head of hair,
Slay a deadly dragon and meet a stony stare.

I'm the Knight you sometimes read of in the silly story books,
With the honor and the loyalty but never quite the looks,
My shining armor rusted by the lonely, passing years,
My heart battered and broken from a million unshed tears.

Have you ever wished so woefully for happy ever after,
But ran away so terrified at first hint of disaster?
Are you still caught up so cautiously in once upon a time?
Look into my eyes and witness each of them align.
